Once Scaled Encounters arrives and begins the service, the applicable service-call fee is due whether or not the animal is ultimately located or captured.
• The fee covers dispatch, travel, a reasonable search of safely accessible areas, identification efforts, immediate-site assessment and practical recommendations.
• No capture is guaranteed. Snakes and reptiles may move, hide or leave the property before or during the response.
• Scaled Encounters will not dismantle structures, pull insulation without a specific reason, move unsafe/heavy objects, or damage property solely to locate an animal.
• If the animal disappears before dispatch and the customer cancels before Scaled Encounters leaves for the call, no service call fee applies.
• Whenever practical, any price increase is explained and approved before additional billable work begins.
• Species alone does not determine price. A visible copperhead in an open area may be simpler than a nonvenomous snake hidden in a difficult crawlspace.
• Commercial properties, repeated visits, trapping/monitoring, unusual species, structural dismantling, large-scale exclusion work or jobs outside normal scope require an individual quote.
• Scaled Encounters may decline or stop work when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, outside permit scope, or likely to cause unreasonable property damage or bodily harm to the reptile or handler.
